TROOPERS: CUMBERLAND COUNTIAN INJURED IN THREE VEHICLE CRASH ON I-40
A three vehicle crash on I-40 in eastern Putnam County late yesterday afternoon resulted in an injury. The Tennessee Highway Patrol says automobiles driven by 49-year-old Lonnita Polson of Crossville, 47-year-old Stacy Hancock of Crossville and 84-year-old William Dimick of Monterey were all traveling east at the 295 mile marker when Polson and Hancock slowed down for approaching traffic congestion. Troopers state that is when Dimick in a Ford F-350 rear ended the GMC Hancock was in. The impact resulted in the Toyota occupied by Polson being struck in the back. The report states Hancock was the only motorist hurt and all three were restrained at the time of the crash.
