TRUCK DRIVER CHARGED WITH DUI FOLLOWING ACCIDENT ON I-40 IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY
A driver was charged after a vehicle accident on I-40 this week in Cumberland County. Troopers say a 2014 Mack truck operated by 46-year-old Robert Felts of Mount Juliet was heading east at the 311 mile marker when Felts claimed a deer came into his path. He left the road and the rear trailer turned over on its side. Felts was restrained and not injured. According to the accident report, the Tennessee Highway Patrol charged him with DUI and failure to exercise due care.
