Wednesday officers responded to Arby’s in Crossville for a vehicle accident on Interstate Drive. The caller stated that a hole had opened up in the roadway and the vehicle had fallen into the hole. When the officer arrived, they observed a red Dodge Ram with the driver-side front wheel inside of the hole where the road fell through.

When talking with the Excavating Company, they stated that they were responsible for the road construction and they had tried to have everything covered, but due to heavy rainfall the night before, it could have washed everything away causing the road to fall through.

A tow company was called to the scene to assist the truck. No injuries were reported.
