Mrs. Trudy Nadine Gibbons, age 60, of Ozone community, victoriously gained her heavenly home surrounded by her loved ones on Monday, March 24, 2025, after her long cancer battle. She was born January 6, 1965, in Crab Orchard, a daughter of the late J.D. and Hilda Thompson.  Trudy was also preceded in death by her sister Linda Kay Thompson, nephew Michael Dale Thompson, and mother and father-in-law Sadie and GlenGibbons.

Trudy was a very strong Christian woman and loved dearly by all who knew her.  She was a former employee of Walmart until she decided to be a full-time caretaker of her beloved parents. She enjoyed arts and crafts with her church family, camping, swimming and spending time outdoors with her large extended family.

Trudy is survived by her devoted husband Jeff Gibbons of 43 years, brothers Danny Thompson, Barry Thompson, Terry (Joan) Thompson and Tim Thompson all of Crab Orchard, 10 nephews, and 8 nieces. She also leaves behind numerous other family members including cousins, in-laws and many friends who will sadly miss her.

Honoring her wishes, there will be a private graveside service held at a later date. The family would like to thank all the medical personnel who helped take care of Trudy and a special thank you to Dr. Mark Hendrixson and staff.  In lieu of flowers, those wishing to help offset medical expenses may do so through Venmo @missyt413.
