Steven Raymond Arnold, 75, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2025 in Crossville,
TN. He was born on July 10, 1949 in Marietta, OH to Ermine and Lorraine Arnold
where he was raised on a farm in Lowell, OH with his two brothers.
After graduating from Fort Frye high school in 1967, Steve moved to Chicago, IL where
he made Chicago his home. He lived there until retirement and then moved to
Crossville, TN in 2019.
He had a love of fun, travel and golf. He spent his free time on the golf course and with
friends. He was a road warrior where he traveled for work installing and repairing
medical radiology equipment for 35 years. He loved being on the road and often spent
his time in the car catching up with family and friends.
He was a loving uncle to his two nieces who he treated like his own. He was known for
his surprise visits back to Marietta to see them, including every Christmas when they
were little. Their frequent trips to Chicago to see him were packed full of excitement,
fun and cherished memories. He never let physical distance prevent him from being an
important and special part of their lives.
He is survived by brothers Larry (Jan) Arnold and Ron (Cheryl) Arnold, both of Marietta,
OH; nieces Rachel (Jonathan) Blum of Moseley, VA and Jessie (Andy) Fenton of
Williamstown, WV; great niece Violet Riordan and great nephews Grayson and Hayes
Fenton. Also surviving is companion, Denyse Vos, who moved with him to Tennessee.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 21 years, Shirley Arnold.
