The Tennessee Valley Authority issued on Wednesday a final Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact thus allowing the City of Rockwood to develop a full-service commercial marina and campground on Watts Bar Reservoir with a 30-year easement.  TVA determined that the development would not significantly affect the environment.

TVA would issue a deed modification to the City of Rockwood to allow Blue Ridge Development LLC to develop the proposed 43-acre marina and campground near Tom Fuller Memorial Park. TVA would issue Blue Ridge Development an easement for land rights to construct the development that would include 204 covered boat slips, boat ramp, fuel platform, swim, beach, fishing piers, parking spaces, water intakes, riprap, and campsites.
