TWENTY ROANE COUNTY INMATES GRADUATE FROM STATE WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
On April 28, 2026, the RCSO Detention Facility celebrated the graduation of twenty inmates from a state-approved workforce development initiative. Launched at the start of the year, the program utilized Interplay Premium Pathways to provide rigorous training in industrial and manufacturing technology, marketing, and IT. Each graduate completed approximately 50 hours of coursework, earning vital industry-recognized credentials such as OSHA 10, EPA 608, and NATE Ready-to-Work certifications.
The graduation ceremony featured certificate presentations by Debbie Fillers of the Adult Education Division and Rachel McCarthy from Orijin. Several RCSO officials, including Chief Deputy Tim Phillips and Captain Keith Emmert, were in attendance to honor the participants. By equipping these individuals with marketable skills, the initiative aims to provide both meaningful career preparation and a sense of hope for the graduates and their families as they look toward the future.
