TWO ACCIDENTS REPORTED ON HIGHWAY 127 NORTH WITHIN 25 MINUTES

Two accidents within a 25 minute span on Highway 127 North in Cumberland County late Saturday afternoon resulted in only one injury. Troopers say the first accident involved a 1991 Oldsmobile driven by 51-year-old David Bramblett of Crossville. His vehicle left the road, struck a utility pole and came to rest in the northbound lane of the highway. The utility pole was damaged causing power to go out to many. Troopers say Bramblett sustained minor injuries. The second accident involved a 2005 Dodge Caravan operated by 30-year-old Barbara Laughter. She was attempting to pass Bramblett’s vehicle partially blocking Highway 127 when she was sideswiped by a vehicle that kept going. Laughter was not hurt.
