TWO ARRESTED FOLLOWING INCIDENT AT TOWING COMPANY IN CROSSVILLE

Police in Crossville recently responded to the 2200 block of Miller Bypass to a report of two male subjects attempting to take parts off a vehicle in a parking lot. An employee of a towing company told officers he reportedly saw 49-year-old Johnny E. Stokes of Crossville next to a jacked up vehicle attempting to take a tire off. The employee also observed 49-year-old Jimmy Lynn Barnwell of Crossville run into a wooded area. The employee started to call 911 and that is when Stokes allegedly brandished a knife and said “one of them was going to die.” Police arrived and arrested Stokes for aggravated assault and criminal trespassing. Barnwell was located and charged with criminal trespassing.
