TWO ARRESTED FOR VEHICLE THEFT IN ROANE COUNTY

Acting on a tip, Roane County deputies went to a location off of Bullard Ford Road in Harriman for a stolen vehicle. Officers reportedly saw 29-year-old Charles Alan Cofer and 35-year-old Danny Lee Justice at the stolen truck. Officers ordered both of them to stop after they attempted to walk off after seeing deputies. Both stated that they had purchased the truck about two hours before authorities arrived but were unable to provide a name for the individual they allegedly purchased the truck from. Both Cofer and Justice face theft of a motor vehicle and forgery charges.
