TWO ARRESTED IN OLIVER SPRINGS FOR METH

From the Oliver Springs Police Department:
What began as a traffic stop yesterday afternoon for speeding – 48 MPH in a 35 MPH zone on E Spring St – led to the arrest of a 20-year-old male and an 18-year-old female, both of Oliver Springs, who were in possession of marijuana and a felony amount of methamphetamine, which one individual attempted to conceal.
Thanks to the diligence and keen eye of our Officers, both individuals were safely taken into custody and booked into Anderson County Jail. The Oliver Springs Police Department remains unwavering in its commitment to public safety.
Crime will not be successful in our community, because we—officers and residents alike—stand united against illegal activity. We also remind everyone of the grave dangers of illicit drug use: it can destroy health, undermine families, and fuel further criminal conduct.
Let’s all continue to look out for one another and keep Oliver Springs safe!
