Putnam County Deputies arrested and charged two people after investigating a vehicle crash earlier this month. Officers say that a vehicle occupied by Jackie Mayberry and Nichole Kappelman crashed near Gainesboro Grade. A search conducted during the wreck turned up prescription pills, a large quantity of a crystal-like substance, empty baggies, digital scales, several firearms and $7000 in cash. Both are charged with possessing a controlled substance. Mayberry is charged with possessing a weapon during the commission of a felony crime and possessing a gun by a convicted felon. He was placed under a $100,000 bond. Kappelman was also charged with possessing a weapon during a felony crime. She is under a $35,000 bond.
