TWO COOKEVILLE MEN ARRESTED AFTER $40K, DRUGS, AND SEVEN FIREARMS SEIZED IN RAID
A joint investigation by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s Drug Investigation Division, the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) Task Force, and the Cookeville Police Department led to the arrest of two men in Cookeville, Putnam County, following an online tip received in January about alleged illegal drug sales in the area.
On Tuesday, authorities executed a search warrant at a residence in the 800 block of East Broad Street, where they seized marijuana, cocaine, MDMA, THC cartridges, seven firearms, multiple rounds of ammunition, drug paraphernalia, and $40,000 in cash. The two individuals present at the home—Anthony Alder (born August 23, 2002) and Logan Richardson (PICTURED) (born October 22, 2001)—were arrested and booked into the Putnam County Jail.
Alder faces charges including one count each of possession with intent to manufacture, deliver, or sell Schedule I, Schedule II, and Schedule VI substances, plus one count of possession of a firearm while committing a dangerous felony, with a bond set at $120,000. Richardson is charged with one count of possession with intent to manufacture, deliver, or sell Schedule VI substances and one count of possession of a firearm while committing a dangerous felony, with a bond of $40,000.
Authorities emphasize that these are accusations only, and both men are presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt through due process.
(A mug shot of Anthony Alder was not available.)
