On Saturday, around 4:40 PM a fatal crash happened in Cumberland County. Garry Grant, of Evensville was traveling in a Chrysler Sedan and turning left from Sparta Drive to travel west on Sparta Highway (HWY 70). When turning left, he turned in front of a Cadillac Escalade driven by Camilla Wyatt, of Crossville. The Cadillac struck the Chrysler and both vehicles came to an uncontrolled stop on the road, blocking traffic.

The driver of the sedan,66-year-old Garry Grant died on the scene. The passenger, Ashley Grant, age 32 had minor injuries. Also in the sedan were three children. An eleven-year-old had serious injuries from the crash. The two other children ages 9 and 5 had minor injuries.

Camilla Wyatt, age 90 died on the scene as well.
