TWO DRIVERS ESCAPE INJURY ON I-40 IN EASTERN CUMBERLAND COUNTY
Two drivers escaped injury in a vehicle accident on I-40 in Cumberland County yesterday afternoon. Troopers say a 2014 Chevy Cruz driven by 40-year-old Edward Oliver of Nashville failed to stop for congested traffic at the 329 mile marker and rear ended a tractor-trailer operated by 46-year-old Marcus Williams of Michigan. Both drivers were restrained. Traffic in the area of the 327 mile marker where bridge construction is going on has been backed up daily as crews continue their work.
