TWO ESCAPE INJURY AFTER BOX TRUCK CRASH ON I-40 IN WESTERN CUMBERLAND CO.
A single-vehicle crash on I-40 in western Cumberland County late this morning resulted in a traffic backup for over an hour.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol says a 2020 Isuzu box truck operated by 31-year-old Brandon L. Williams of Tennessee was traveling east at the 308-mile marker when the vehicle left the roadway. It went through a cable barrier, crossed the median, and overturned.
It came to rest on the passenger side in the left lane of westbound traffic.
Williams, along with a passenger, escaped injury in the crash.
