Two drivers escaped injury in a two vehicle accident on I-40 in Putnam County early this afternoon. The Tennessee Highway Patrol says a 2002 Saturn driven by 23-year-old Bryce Paul Conway from Cleveland, Tennessee rear-ended a 2014 Subaru Forester operated by 23-year-old Mollie Grace Collier from Hermitage at the 295 eastbound mile marker as she was slowing down for traffic. Conway was charged with failure to exercise due care. Eastbound traffic was backed up for miles at one point as the scene was investigated and later cleared.
