Two from Putnam County were charged with child abuse and neglect yesterday (Wednesday, May 31, 2017) after leaving three children in a unattended vehicle. Officers say 37-year-old Nicholas Arnold Hatcher and 23-year-old Keisha Mayberry were both arrested on three counts of child abuse and neglect. According to the arrest report, Hatcher and Mayberry left the children in a hot vehicle while they were in court. Court officials say Mayberry was there to answer a charge of aggravated assault against Hatcher. Mayberry and Hatcher will appear in Putnam County General Sessions Court on the child abuse charges June 19.
