TWO GEORGIA RESIDENTS KILLED IN MONROE COUNTY MOTORCYCLE CRASH ON LABOR DAY
A Georgia man and woman lost their lives Monday afternoon in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash in Monroe County, Tennessee, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
Keven Rhean Durussell, Jr., 33, and passenger Chelsea Marie George, 30, both of Georgia, were traveling northbound on Highway 39 (Mecca Pike) on a 2000 Harley Davidson Road King. At approximately 12:30 p.m., the motorcycle left the roadway in the 900 block and crashed into a ditch.
The vehicle overturned and came to rest on top of both riders. Investigators confirmed that no other vehicles were involved in the incident and that both victims were wearing helmets at the time of the crash.
