TWO I-40 CRASHES IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY RESULT IN INJURIES

On Sunday, a single-vehicle accident occurred on Interstate 40 at mile marker 334 in Cumberland County, involving a 2016 Nissan Altima driven by 30-year-old Michael E. Mallory from Mississippi. The vehicle, traveling east, ran off the roadway and came to rest in a ditch. Mallory, who was wearing a seat belt, sustained injuries and faces a moving violation charge pending investigation.
No passengers were reported in the vehicle.
In a separate incident on Saturday, at mile marker 313 on Interstate 40, also in Cumberland County, a 2011 Freightliner driven by 48-year-old Adrian Falconer from Mississippi also veered off the roadway. The vehicle, traveling east, ran off the left side, overturned in the median, struck several trees, and came to rest on its left side in the wood line. Falconer, who was wearing a seat belt, was injured and faces a moving violation charge pending investigation.
No passengers were reported in this incident either.
