TWO INJURED AFTER ALLEGED DUI DRIVER CRASHES INTO VEHICLE IN CROSSVILLE

Crossville police and medics responded Wednesday night to an accident with injuries at Stanley Street and West Avenue.

The report released this afternoon states a Dodge Ram truck driven by 45-year-old Pascual Jose Velasco or Crossville struck a vehicle occupied by two women and kept going. The two were treated for injuries sustained in the impact.

After a description of the suspect’s vehicle was given, a police officer spotted Velasco driving on East First Street. Valesco reportedly turned on Netherton Court traveling at a high rate of speed.

Officers caught Velasco after he stopped in the driveway of a residence on Netherton Court.

Velasco was reportedly unsteady on his feet. He had to be assisted to a patrol car.

He was arrested for DUI, driving on a revoked license, leaving the scene of an accident, and two counts of reckless endangerment.
