On November 4th at around 9:45 a.m. a 2011 Ford Ranger driven by Garrett Wayne Walker (25), a 1999 Toyota Tacoma driven by Verlon Horace Melton (88), and a 2004 Dodge Pickup driven by Skyler Lee Eller (28) were traveling on US 70 East close to Kittyann Dr.

Eller stopped to turn left while Melton slowed in the traffic lane when Walker’s Ranger rear-ended Melton’s Tacoma.

The force from the impact caused the Tacoma to strike Eller’s pickup, and the Tacoma ran off the right side of the roadway and down an embankment. Walker’s Ranger came to final rest near the impact area on US 70 facing East.

Melton’s Tacoma came to a final rest off the right side of US 70 facing South. Eller’s pickup came to a final rest off the right side of US 70 facing East.

Walker and Melton sustained injuries, and Walker was charged with Failure to Exercise Care.
