Roane County authorities and medics responded to a two vehicle accident with injuries Friday at the intersection of Highway 70 and Swan Pond Road. The report states two passengers in the vehicle that 31-year-old Joshua Cody Walker of Sunbright hit with his automobile had to be transported to the hospital in Oak Ridge for treatment of injuries sustained. Walker allegedly admitted to an officer he was under the influence of a narcotic. A business surveillance footage captured Walker driving across Highway 70 and not yielding to the vehicle he reportedly hit. Walker was charged with two counts of vehicular assault and one count each of DUI, driving on a revoked license and failure to yield.
