TWO LOUDON COUNTY VOLUNTEER COACHES UNDER INVESTIGATION
Two people who work as volunteer coaches at Philadelphia Elementary School are under investigation by the Loudon County Sheriff’s Office after they received a tip regarding child exploitation and child pornography through the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
Investigators with a criminal investigations division executed a search warrant on a home last week on Thursday. As of yet no one has been charged, and a statement from the Loudon County Sheriff’s Office said that should their investigators find anything suspect on devices seized from the home, they will share it with the district attorney’s office.
While the two volunteer coaches were working at Philadelphia Elementary School, the Sheriff’s Office does not believe any of the victims were students of Philadelphia Elementary.
Jennifer Malone, media communications manager with Loudon County schools, said that both of the individuals in question are currently suspended and that because the situation involves an ongoing criminal investigation, the school system will not comment on the investigation and will refer all other specific questions are inquiries to the Loudon County deputies.
