TWO MEN CHARGED IN 2016 MACON COUNTY FIRE

NASHVILLE – An investigation by Special Agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has resulted in two men being charged with arson and vandalism stemming from a 2016 mobile home fire in Macon County

At the request of 15th District Attorney General Tommy Thompson, in October 2016, TBI Special Agents began investigating the circumstances surrounding a structure fire that happened in Lafayette in March 2016. Agents had developed information that the mobile home on New Harmony Road had been set on fire. Information gathered during that investigation revealed that Dylan Ferguson and Christopher Mitchell were the individuals responsible for setting the trailer on fire.

On Friday, TBI Agents charged Ferguson (DOB 11/16/1996) and Mitchell (09/27/1996) each with one count of Arson and one count of Vandalism. Ferguson (below left) and Mitchell (below right) were each served today in the Macon County Jail, where they are being held on other charges. The bond for each was set at $10,000.
