TWO NEW LAWSUITS FILED IN CONNECTION WITH FATAL CHATTANOOGA SCHOOL BUS CRASH
Two new lawsuits were filed Thursday on behalf of three children injured in the Woodmore bus tragedy last year. Both lawsuits claim Durham School Services, National Express, and former bus driver Johnthony Walker as “guilty of negligence, gross negligence, and willful and wanton conduct demonstrating a conscious indifference to the lives and safety of others.” According to one of the lawsuits, Bruce Shirley suffered a broken scapula and a head injury as a result in the crash. Savannah Joubert is also listed as receiving physical and psychological injuries. The second lawsuit says Naszakor Fletcher suffered a traumatic brain injury and other physical and psychological injuries. Baltimore-based Murphy, Falcon & Murphy and Chattanooga-based Berke, Berke, & Berke law firms filed the lawsuits on behalf of the victims. The law firms say all lawsuits related to the Woodmore crash must be filed on or before November 21, 2017.
