TWO ROANE COUNTY WEEKEND EMERGENCIES

 

BBBTV12 – Over the weekend, Roane County emergency services responded to two significant incidents.

On Saturday morning around 11:00 a.m., a car collided with a home on Rhonda Way in the Smoke Rise subdivision, located south of Rockwood. Reports indicate that one individual was transported to the hospital following the accident. The extent of the injuries and the cause of the crash are still under investigation.

Later, on Sunday evening at approximately 9:00 p.m., multiple fire departments, including Midtown Fire, Blair Volunteer Fire, and South Roane County Fire and EMS, responded to a garage fire at 171 Walden Lane in Harriman, just off Bowman Bend Road. The fire quickly spread to the roof of the structure. Witnesses from across the river reported seeing flames through social media posts. Firefighters remained on the scene for nearly three hours, working to extinguish the blaze. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, with no injuries reported.
