TWO SHOT DURING ROBBERY INVOLVING 22 POUNDS OF WEED
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — A Nashville man was shot and another was injured Thursday night during an apparent robbery involving 22 pounds of marijuana.
Metro Police say it happened around 6:30 p.m. on Alabama Avenue, which is in West Nashville.
According to police, the 22-year-old victim reportedly drove himself to a gas station on 21st Avenue South. He was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center and is expected to be OK.
“Officers also responded to St. Thomas Hospital Midtown where a second man had walked in with a gunshot wound to his arm,” police wrote in a press release. “During the investigation at the Mapco, detectives recovered a handgun and bundles of marijuana from the victim’s Dodge Durango.”
Police said multiple cartridge casings were recovered on Alabama Avenue. Detectives believe both men were injured during this incident.
An investigation remains ongoing.
