UPDATE – TWO STUDENTS IN CUMBERLAND CO. SCHOOL SHOOTING PLOT IN DCS CUSTODY

ATTENTION READERS – This is an UPDATE to a story we ran earlier this year as stated in the following:
Two six-grade students in Cumberland County are now in the custody of the Department of Children’s Services stemming from a plot to carry out a school shooting at the end of the last school year. Authorities say the two from South Cumberland Elementary School will remain in state custody for time not yet set by the court. Both students were charged with conspiracy to commit first-degree murder. The investigation revealed a hand-drawn map of the school and a plot between the two students to bring in weapons to school, shoot faculty and students and then commit suicide before law enforcement could intervene.
