TWO TEENS DEAD, TWO INJURED IN ROANE COUNTY WRECK SUNDAY AFTERNOON

The Tennessee Highway Patrol has released details of a Sunday-afternoon crash in Roane County that killed two Harriman teenagers and injured two other teens.
The crash took place about 2:20 p.m. on Orchard Valley Road near Dyllis Road, when 18-year-old Holden Melton of Wartburg lost control of the sedan he was driving on a downhill curve. THP reports the car went off the right side of the road, struck a tree and came to rest in the road.
Melton and 16-year-old Kameron French of Harriman were injured. Killed in the crash were 18-year-old Austin French and 16-year-old Joshua Freels.
All four were wearing seatbelts. The THP report indicates criminal charges are pending.
