The Hamblen County Sheriff’s Department recovered the bodies of two 16-year-olds after both were reported drowned in Cherokee Lake. One male and one female, went underwater at Evergreen Cove late yesterday and did not resurface. Around 9 last night, both bodies were recovered. Authorities say the two teens were dating and at the lake with the boy’s family. No foul play is suspected and their deaths are believed to be accidental. The teens’ identities have not been released.
