A two vehicle accident Friday afternoon in Fentress County injured an elderly couple. Trooper William Looper says a 2012 Chevy Impala driven by 78-year-old Gerald Volkenand of Jamestown was traveling east on Highway 296 near Stephens Road. There is where he was hit by an oncoming Toyota Camry in his lane of travel. Volkenand and a passenger, 80-year-old Mary Volkenand of Jamestown, were both hurt.
