A two-vehicle collision tied up traffic at a busy Crossville intersection on Friday evening, June 19, 2026, after a driver failed to yield the right-of-way while making an improper turn.

According to the Tennessee Electronic Traffic Crash Report filed by the Crossville Police Department, the incident occurred at approximately 5:56 PM (17:56) at the intersection of North Main Street and Executive Drive.

Investigating officers Patrolman Colten Johns and Senior Patrolman Jackie Grant reported that a black 2020 Ford Escape, driven northbound on North Main Street by 49-year-old Tiffany Ann Smallen of Lancing, was proceeding through the intersection under a green light.

At the same time, an aluminum-colored 2025 Toyota RAV4, driven southbound by 77-year-old Larry Allon Tabor of Pikeville, was traveling in the left southbound lane. Authorities state that Tabor failed to yield the right-of-way and attempted to make a left turn onto Executive Drive. Instead of utilizing the designated turn lane, Tabor initiated an improper turn directly from the travel lane.

The front end of Tabor’s Toyota struck the far rear driver’s side of Smallen’s Ford as she cleared the intersection.

The impact resulted in disabling damage to both compact utility vehicles. Despite the severity of the wreckage—which required both vehicles to be towed from the scene by Chan’s Towing—no injuries were reported.

All three individuals involved, including the drivers and a passenger in the Toyota, 74-year-old Connie Sue Tabor, were wearing their shoulder and lap seatbelts. Airbags did not deploy in either vehicle.
