U.S. SEN. BOB CORKER’S FUTURE PLANS ARE “UNDECIDED”
Republican U.S. Sen. Bob Corker earlier this week announced that he will not seek re-election. But Corker says that other things may be in his future. Corker spoke to reporters at the state Capital, stating that after he leaves office he “would like to serve in some capacity.” He’s also not rejected any ideas about running for governor of Tennessee sometime in the future. There are already five Republican candidates running for the state’s top position to succeed Gov. Bill Haslam. Corker said that the best time to have gotten into the governor’s race would have been a year ago.
