UNITED WAY OF ROANE COUNTY HELPS WITH TAX RETURNS USING MYFREETAXES.COM
Because of the COVID-19 crisis, tax returns now have a deadline of July 15, 2020. So if you have not prepared your income tax returns, you still have time to get them completed and at no cost.

Here is a list of what you will need:
- A copy of your 2017 federal and state returns
- All income statements: W-2, 1099 and other forms showing income from interest, dividends, capital gains, stock sales, or Social Security
- For itemized deductions: receipts for medical and dental bills, prescriptions, and medical insurance; property tax and mortgage interest statement; receipts for charitable donations.
- A check or bank card showing routing and account numbers to receive a direct deposit of your refund
- If your health insurance was through the Affordable Care Act Marketplace, bring Form 1095-A, and documentation if you received a health insurance exemption.
