There’s been a spate of fake bills surfacing in Crossville recently; the latest occurred early Friday evening at the Eco Travel Plaza on Genesis Road. Crossville police were dispatched for a report of an unidentified male attempting to purchase beer with a counterfeit $20 bill. The clerk told police the man had four additional fake twenties, but he was only able to secure one of them. The suspect was described as white, about five foot ten, late 20s to early 30s and wearing a blue hoodie and jeans.
