UNRESTRAINED DRIVER INJURED IN SINGLE-VEHICLE CRASH IN ROANE COUNTY MONDAY NIGHT
Multiple Roane County agencies including the Roane County Sheriff’s Office, South Roane County Fire Department, Rescue Squad and EMS, responded to a single-vehicle crash Monday night, just after 10:30. Twenty-year-old Makayla Adkins of Ten Mile was traveling eastbound on Highway 72 when she lost control of her car, ran off the road, struck a fence and hit a tree head on. Adkins, who was not restrained, was injured in the crash. She was charged with DUI and driving on a suspended license.
