(UPDATE) – CRAWDADDY’S RESTAURANT IN COOKEVILLE CLOSED AFTER FIRE BUT PLANS TO RETURN
(UPDATE TO ORIGINAL STORY) – Around 3:30 a.m. this morning, Cookeville firefighters responded to a structure blaze at Crawdaddy’s restaurant on West Broad Street. Upon arrival, crews saw heavy fire involvement on the east side of the building. The fire was contained within a few hours. The location mainly sustained smoke and water damage and the deck was destroyed. A cause is being determined by authorities. Restaurant officials say there will be a plan of moving ahead for returning but as for now the popular site is indefinitely closed as crews begin the cleaning and restoration process.
