UPDATE: FENTRESS COUNTY CHILD SLATED FOR SURGERY TODAY
In an update to a story we brought you over the weekend, 3-year-old Owen Davidson is scheduled for surgery. As his aunt, Victoria Woody, told 105.7 News minutes ago, the child was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center last night. This morning, doctors informed Rodney and Crystal Davidson their son would undergo surgery “sometime today.” Woody told 105.7 News her nephew has a 90% chance of suffering a brain hemorrhage during the procedure. She expressed gratitude to the Hog listeners who have prayed for the family and supported their efforts to build an addition to their home to accommodate Owen’s therapeutic equipment.
Owen suffers from a heart condition known as supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) and, according to his aunt, the surgery slated for today is similar to a procedure he underwent a year and a half ago.
