Volunteer Energy Cooperative (VEC) power crews worked hard in many counties this morning to restore scattered outages during the approach of Tropical Storm Zeta.

In Crossville, they responded to a snapped power pole (see picture in this story) off of Genesis Road. Power was also knocked out to about 700 customers in the Homestead and Cumberland Cove areas in Cumberland County.

VEC also responded to outages in other counties including Bledsoe, Roane, Pickett and McMinn.
