VEC: ROLLING POWER OUTAGES CONTINUE IN THIS AREA
December 24, 2022, 10:55 am Update: TVA’s Step 50 Emergency Load Curtailment will continue until demand on the electric grid improves. Since 6:00 am, all local power companies in the Tennessee Valley, including VEC, have been utilizing 15-minute rolling power outages to meet the load reduction requirement. We will keep you updated and let you know when TVA notifies us to terminate curtailment.
Local power companies are proactively taking steps to temporarily reduce power supplies to localized areas. This may result in temporary loss of power to some areas. Take steps to lower your electricity use.
