VEHICLE BROKEN INTO AND VANDALIZED AT DOLLAR GENERAL PARKING LOT IN CROSSVILLE
On February 8, 2026, Crossville police were called to the Dollar General Market regarding a red Nissan Versa that had been left in the parking lot with a broken front passenger-side window. The vehicle’s owner reported that she had parked it there around 10:00 p.m. on February 7 after experiencing a flat tire.
When she and others returned around 8:30 a.m. the next morning to retrieve it, they discovered the car had been broken into and vandalized. A piece of concrete curb had been thrown through the window and was found on the seat. The suspects stole the touchscreen radio (which included a camera), damaged the dashboard and center console during removal, and attempted to pry off the backup camera by vandalizing the trunk trim.
The store manager informed officers that no surveillance cameras covered the vehicle’s location, and there were no known witnesses or suspects at the time. The incident was documented by Officer Keith Sadula and later approved by Officer Tim Vandever.
