Tennessee Governor Bill Lee has signed an executive order extending the deadline for vehicle registration renewals that expire in March 2020 or April 2020. The new deadline for obtaining these renewals is June 15, 2020.

The order also suspends the expiration dates on valid driver licenses and Class ID photo identification for 6 months from the current expiration date. This extension applies to driver’s license and IDs set to expire March 12 through May 18, 2020.

To reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus, access is limited at all Cumberland County offices. Residents who are titling a vehicle for the first time in Cumberland County must first call the County Clerk’s office to make an appointment. The County Clerk’s office number is (931) 484-6442. Other counties in the coverage area are doing the same. If you live in a county other that Cumberland, call your local county clerk office.
