VICTIM OF DEADLY OAK RIDGE FIRE IDENTIFIED
OAK RIDGE, Tenn. (Jan. 23, 2025) – The Oak Ridge Fire Department has identified the 92-year-old woman who died following a house fire on Sheridan Circle last week.
Nancy Santos, 92, was rescued from the home and transported to UT Medical Center where she was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Her daughter was in the home at the time of the fire and was able to get out and call 911.
There were 10 cats and 2 dogs in the home at the time of the fire. Three cats were rescued and taken to a local vet or animal shelter for care. The rest of the animals did not survive.
The investigation is ongoing.
