VIRGINIA MAN JAILED FOR BURGLARIZING OAK RIDGE FIRE STATION, STEALING FLAGS AND UTV
Emmette Deel of Norton, Virginia, allegedly broke into a fire station at the East Tennessee Technology Park (former K-25 site) around 4 a.m. on November 22 while intoxicated.
He disabled emergency equipment, stole a Polaris utility vehicle and both the American and Tennessee flags, and falsely claimed to be a codes inspector.
After being confronted by Fire Captain Alcorn, Deel fled but was soon arrested nearby.
He faces multiple charges, including aggravated burglary, theft of government property, and disabling 911 equipment, and remains held in Roane County Jail on $111,000 bond.
