Volunteer Energy Cooperative (VEC) gave an update regarding efforts by VEC crews who remain hard at work assessing extensive damage and restoring power following a destructive line of storms that swept through the service territory overnight.

As daylight has revealed the true extent of the destruction through new photos from the field, utility officials have expressed deep gratitude for the dedication and long hours put in by frontline workers. Crews will continue operating around the clock until service is completely restored to every affected member.

VEC leadership also extended appreciation to the cooperative’s members, thanking them for their continued patience and understanding while repair teams work to make complex fixes as safely and rapidly as possible.
