A Sequatchie County Circuit Court judge yesterday sentenced a former volunteer firefighter for sending lewd images of himself to an underage female. Officers say 48-year-old Phillip McGhee received three years judicial diversion from Judge Thomas Graham. McGhee served as a volunteer firefighter with the Dunlap Fire Department for over 20 years. He was suspended from the fire department after his arrest. Under judicial diversion, McGhee will be listed on the sexual offenders registry for the next three years and will have a felony on his record during that time. If he does not violate his probation, he may petition to have his record expunged and to have his name removed from the sexual offenders registry.
