A boat manufacturer in Vonore, Tennessee has bought out another boat-building business in Mississippi. Mastercraft of Vonore has purchased NauticStar of Amory, Mississippi for $79.8 million. Although Mastercraft is known for its’ water-skiing and powerboats, the addition of NauticStar will allow the company to enter the saltwater fishing arena. With the acquisition, Mastercraft’s production and profits will increase in 2018. NauticStar will keep its’ Mississippi factory in production along with its’ 300 employees.
