WALLETHUB SAYS TENNESSEE IS 10TH WORST STATE FOR PUBLIC SCHOOLS
A website has conducted an in-depth analysis of the Best and Worst school systems in the United States for 2017 and Tennessee has one of the worst rankings. According to WalletHub, Tennessee was the tenth worst state in the nation for public schools coming in at #42, ahead of Oregon, Alabama and Alaska. The worst state of school systems was Louisiana, according to the study. In order to determine the list, analysts compared the 50 states and the District of Columbia across two dimensions, “Quality” and “Safety.” Those dimensions were measured using 21 metrics, including Dropout Rate, Math Test Scores, Reading Test Scores, SAT and ACT scores, among others.
