WANTED ROANE CO. SUSPECT ARRESTED IN HOME WHERE STANDOFF HAPPENED IN BLOUNT CO.

Blount County Sheriff James Lee Berrong said deputies took a man into custody yesterday at the same trailer where two individuals were arrested following a three hour stand-off in Rockford on Tuesday.

Yesterday, deputies arrested 36-year-old Michael Sean Gorman on a warrant for aggravated kidnapping out of Roane County.

Sheriff’s deputies received information yesterday that a wanted individual was inside the same trailer where Jason Finley and Jennifer Cash-Finley were taken into custody Tuesday following a more than three hour standoff with law enforcement. Deputies and members of the Sheriff’s Office SWAT team arrived at the trailer yesterday and took Gorman into custody without incident. He was brought to the Blount County Correctional Facility, and then released into the custody of Roane County authorities last night.

Additionally, Jennifer Cash-Finley has been charged with three counts of aggravated assault and resisting arrest on bonds totaling $175,000. Jason Finley is being held on one count of resisting arrest on a $25,000 bond. Both individuals are scheduled for hearings in Blount County General Sessions Court at 9 a.m. October 2, 2019.

Jennifer Cash-Finley shot at two bondsmen on Tuesday who attempted to take her into custody on outstanding felony drug warrants out of Knox, Jefferson, and Sevier counties. After deputies arrived, additional shots were fired from within the trailer. This prompted a more than three hour stand-off with deputies and members of the U.S. Marshals Service Smoky Mountain Fugitive Task Force.
